The Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI), along with the International Kho Kho Federation, announced that the first Kho Kho World Cup will take place in India in 2025. This exciting event will see participation from 24 countries across 6 continents, featuring 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams.

Global Celebration of Kho Kho

Kho Kho, a sport with deep roots in India, will be celebrated on a global stage. The World Cup aims to highlight the rich cultural heritage and competitive spirit of Kho Kho. Currently, 54 countries play Kho Kho, and the sport has evolved from being played in the mud to being played on mats.

Promotion and Membership Drive

In preparation for the World Cup, the KKFI plans to introduce Kho Kho to 200 elite schools in 10 cities. They aim to register at least 50 lakh players through a membership drive.
