In the recent Maharashtra Assembly election, AIMIM contested 16 seats but secured only one victory, with a narrow margin of 162 votes. The party's candidates were runners-up in five seats, while the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition won 230 out of 288 seats, with BJP alone winning 132 seats.
