The area has faced repeated transformer failures, with a 200 kVA transformer removed and a 100 kVA transformer failing shortly after installation. The latest transformer also exploded, leaving no permanent solution in sight.
Protesters emphasize that electricity is a basic necessity and demand immediate restoration of the power supply. One resident pleaded, "We don't have the financial means to buy solar panels or other alternatives. The government must fulfill its obligation to provide us with basic services."
