Abu Dhabi to Host 64th IFATCA Conference in 2025

The Integrated Transport Centre, part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi, has partnered with the Emirates Aviation Association to host the 64th Annual Conference of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations (IFATCA) in 2025. The event will take place from April 28 to May 2, 2025, in Abu Dhabi.

This conference will gather international organizations, government authorities, and leading civil aviation companies. It is organized in collaboration with the General Civil Aviation Authority and the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the parties, aligning with their strategic plans while respecting each entity's responsibilities.

The IFATCA conference is a major event in aviation and air traffic management, bringing together global experts to discuss advancements in air traffic control, safety, and efficiency. It promotes knowledge sharing and professional development among air traffic controllers.

Saif Sultan Al Nasri, Acting Undersecretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, stated, "This collaboration is a key milestone in our efforts to enhance the UAE's position as a global leader in civil aviation." The agreement also aims to strengthen relationships with UAE civil aviation entities and foster communication between UAE and international air traffic controllers.

The conference will include panel discussions, workshops, and presentations by international aviation experts. It highlights the UAE's progress in aviation infrastructure, with the sector experiencing a 10% growth in the past two years. IFATCA represents over 130 professional air traffic controller associations worldwide, with more than 50,000 members.
