On December 15, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence (MND) reported the presence of 4 Chinese military aircraft and 6 naval vessels near Taiwan. Notably, 2 of these aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait. This information was shared by the MND on their social media platform.
Earlier, on Saturday, Taiwan detected 17 Chinese aircraft and 5 naval vessels in the vicinity. Of these, 13 aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's southwestern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). The MND has been actively monitoring these activities and has responded accordingly.
This pattern of increased military maneuvers by China around Taiwan has raised concerns about regional stability. In response, Taiwan has initiated war-preparedness drills and is coordinating with the Coast Guard Administration to implement countermeasures.
