In Nushki, Balochistan, prominent activist Mahrang Baloch has called for a campaign titled “Breaking the Silence: Standing Against Enforced Disappearances”. This initiative aims to address the recent surge in enforced disappearances across Balochistan and Karachi.

Mahrang Baloch highlighted that hundreds of Baloch individuals have been forcibly disappeared by Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies in the past week. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) is actively reporting these cases, but the true numbers remain unclear.

The BYC emphasized that these disappearances have devastated the community, urging families in Nushki, one of the most affected regions, to join the protests. The committee listed several victims, including Mumtaz Baloch, Master Fareed, and others, while noting that many cases remain unnoticed due to fear and lack of awareness.
Recent Incidents
On October 18, three men from Panjgur and Khuzdar districts were reportedly disappeared by security forces. Additionally, during a peaceful protest in Karachi, BYC’s Central Deputy Organizer, Lala Wahab Baloch, and four others were arrested.
