Jaishankar to embark on 3-day Italy visit, attend G7 Foreign Ministers' Outreach Session
S Jaishankar's Official Visit to Italy
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is set to visit Italy from November 24 to 26, 2024. During this visit, he will participate in the Outreach Session of the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Fiuggi, where India is invited as a guest country. Jaishankar will also engage in bilateral discussions with his counterparts from Italy and other nations.
Participation in MED Mediterranean Dialogue
Jaishankar will attend the 10th edition of the MED Mediterranean Dialogue in Rome, organized by the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The MED Dialogues aim to address security and socio-economic challenges in the Mediterranean region.
Inauguration of New Embassy Premises
During his visit, Jaishankar will inaugurate the new premises of the Indian Embassy in Rome.
Previous Engagements
Jaishankar's previous visit to Italy in November 2023 included discussions with Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, resulting in agreements on Migration and Mobility Partnership and Cultural Cooperation. Earlier in June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the G7 Summit in Italy, meeting various world leaders.
