New Delhi, India - Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to chair the Ambassadors' Round Table in New Delhi as a prelude to Aero India 2025. The event, scheduled for Friday, will see participation from Ambassadors and High Commissioners of over 150 friendly countries. Union Minister of State Sanjay Seth and senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces will also attend.
The 15th edition of Aero India, Asia's largest aero show, will take place at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, Karnataka, from February 10 to 14. The event will feature a curtain raiser, inaugural event, Defence Ministers' Conclave, CEOs' Round-Table, iDEX start-up event, air shows, and a large exhibition area. The theme is 'The Runway to a Billion Opportunities'.
The first three days (February 10-12) are designated as business days, while February 13 and 14 are public days. The event aims to foster partnerships between foreign and Indian firms, enhancing the global value chain and promoting indigenisation. Aero India attracts numerous exhibitors from leading aerospace and defence industries, offering a platform to showcase their capabilities.
Earlier, Rajnath Singh met with Maldives Defence Minister Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon in New Delhi. India handed over defence equipment to the Maldives, reinforcing their commitment to the India-Maldives Comprehensive Economic and Maritime Security Partnership.
