US Provides Additional Military Aid to Ukraine
The Biden administration has approved an additional $500 million in military aid to Ukraine. The aid is being delivered quickly through the Presidential Drawdown Authority, which allows for expedited transfer from US stockpiles.
Meeting in Germany
During his final trip as Pentagon chief, Austin met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. He also hosted the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, an alliance of nearly 50 countries supporting Ukraine since Russia's invasion in February 2022.
