In Tel Aviv, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has denied reports that Hamas provided a list of hostages for a potential ceasefire agreement. A UK-based news agency claimed Hamas approved a list of 34 hostages for release if Israel agreed to withdraw from Gaza and implement a permanent ceasefire. Netanyahu's office stated, "Contrary to what was claimed, Hamas has not forwarded a list of names of hostages until this moment."
Netanyahu, recently discharged from hospital after prostate surgery, is leading the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on multiple fronts. The IDF conducted a drone strike against Hamas operatives in southern Gaza's humanitarian zone, targeting a command center used for planning attacks. Another strike in Deir al-Balah targeted a Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative.
The IDF reported the death of Saad Said Zaki Dahnon, an Islamic Jihad commander involved in the October 7, 2023, attack, during operations in northern Gaza. Dahnon was killed in a battle with the Givati Brigade, while another operative surrendered and was taken for questioning.
