The Haryana Government has made a significant decision to support farmers by procuring 10 different crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The crops included are Ragi, Soybean, Nigerseed, Safflower, Barley, Maize, Jowar, Jute, Khopra, and Moong.

This decision was taken by the state cabinet, led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, during a meeting in Chandigarh. The announcement was initially made by the Chief Minister at a public meeting in Thanesar Vidhan Sabha of Kurukshetra district on August 4.

The government aims to stabilize market prices, ensure a steady income for farmers, and promote the cultivation of diverse crops. The quick approval by the cabinet, just 24 hours after the announcement, highlights the government’s commitment to the farming community.
