Bomb Shells Found in Betul Scrap Shop Before Independence Day and CM Mohan Yadav’s Visit
In Betul, Madhya Pradesh, around 10-12 bomb shells were discovered at a scrap shop during police searches ahead of Independence Day and CM Mohan Yadav’s visit. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and Indian Air Force were called to investigate.
The scrap shop, located in Khanjanpur locality under Kotwali police station limits, was searched as part of a routine check instructed by senior officials. Kamla Joshi, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), stated that the shells were found in a sack bought by the scrap dealer’s son, Naeem Qureshi, who was unaware of their contents.
As a precautionary measure, nearby houses were evacuated, and the road was blocked. Further action will be taken after expert analysis by the BDDS and Air Force teams.
