Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Meets PM Modi and Other Ministers in Delhi
On August 17, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. He requested financial support from the Central government for various state projects, including Polavaram and funds for backward districts. The Telugu Desam Party shared this information in a post on X.
Naidu was accompanied by Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu and Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Chandrashekhar Pemmasani. The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s rising public debt, which has increased from 31.02% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in 2019-20 to 33.32% in 2023-24.
Naidu also met with Union Financial Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Her office posted on X about the meeting, mentioning the presence of other officials including Ram Mohan Naidu and Chandrashekhar Pemmasani.
Earlier, Naidu met with Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu to review the state’s civil aviation infrastructure. They discussed the development of new airports, terminal capacity expansion, and improved air connectivity. Rammohan Naidu expressed his ministry’s commitment to supporting Andhra Pradesh’s growth and thanked Naidu for his valuable administrative inputs.
The discussions also covered the development of helicopter and seaplane services, as well as the use of drones in agriculture and commerce. Rammohan Naidu emphasized the crucial role of the civil aviation sector in the state’s development and appreciated Naidu’s advice on utilizing global opportunities in this field.
