Israel Plans Retaliation After Iran’s Missile Attack

Tel Aviv, Israel – Israel is gearing up for a significant retaliation after Iran launched nearly 200 missiles at it on Tuesday. Israeli officials have indicated that potential targets could include Iran’s oil production facilities and nuclear sites.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Iran’s missile attack as a ‘big mistake’ and warned that Tehran would face severe consequences. ‘Iran made a big mistake today and will pay for it. The Iranian regime does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to take revenge on our enemies,’ he said.

The Israeli Air Force may respond with fighter jet strikes and covert actions, similar to the operation that killed Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) spokesperson, RAdm. Daniel Hagari, called Iran’s attack a ‘severe and dangerous escalation’ and stated, ‘There will be consequences…We will respond wherever, whenever and however we choose, in accordance with the directive of the government of Israel.’

The United States military is closely coordinating with the IDF to help defend Israel. US Naval destroyers have joined Israeli air defense units in firing interceptors to shoot down incoming missiles.

The situation in the Middle East is escalating, with Israel and Iran on the brink of opening a new and more dangerous front in the ongoing conflict.
