The Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024 started with great excitement at the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education in Coimbatore. The first day of the tournament featured five thrilling matches showcasing top kabaddi talents.
The opening match saw the Himalayan Tahrs dominate the Ladakh Wolves with a score of 55-24. In the second match, the Dehradun Dynamos defeated the Konark Kings 44-34. Ajay Kumar was outstanding, achieving a Super 10 with 11 raid points and two tackle points. Udit Kumar also secured a Super 10. Harbir Singh and Pankaj Sharma were strong in defense, both achieving High 5s. Despite Rajesh Dehury's 14 raid points for the Kings, they lost by 10 points.
The Tadoba Tigers won the third match against the Ranchi Rangers with a score of 47-20. Abhishek Nimbalkar and Rushikesh Tiwale both achieved Super 10s, supported by Suraj Pawar's all-round performance. Sumit Raj was the top scorer for the Rangers with five raid points.
The Chambal Challengers narrowly defeated the Indore Invincibles 37-32. Ajay Maravi's Super 10 and Phool Chandra's High 5 helped the Challengers take an early lead. Despite Mihir Singh's Super 10 for the Invincibles, defensive errors led to their five-point loss.
In the final match, the Tadoba Tigers faced the Vasco Vipers in a close 35-39 game. Prince's Super 10 and 16 raid points, along with Abhishek's Super 10, secured the Vipers' victory. Despite Abhishek Nimbalkar's efforts for the Tigers, they lost by four points.
