The Indian Navy has been actively ensuring maritime security in the Western Arabian Sea. They also conducted 13 anti-narcotics operations, seizing drugs worth approximately Rs 35,000 crore, including a record 3,300 kgs of narcotics in February 2024.
The Indian Navy participated in multinational exercises like Exercise Malabar with Australia, Japan, and the US, RIMPAC at Pearl Harbour, and Exercise Varuna in the Mediterranean Sea. They also engaged in the JIMEX maritime exercise with Japan and Exercise Indra with Russia, strengthening international naval partnerships.
