In a recent speech at the UP100 award ceremony, Valery Zaluzhny, Ukraine's former military Commander-in-Chief, declared that World War 3 has started. He urged Ukraine's allies to take decisive action to end the war, suggesting that Ukraine cannot win this battle alone despite its technological capabilities. He criticized the lack of understanding from Ukraine's partners about the severity of the situation.
Previously, Zaluzhny had compared the conflict to a World War I stalemate, which led to tensions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This disagreement resulted in Zaluzhny's dismissal in February, with Oleksandr Syrskyi taking over as the head of Ukraine's armed forces.
