PM Narendra Modi Honored with Global Peace Award by AIAM in Maryland
The Association of Indian American Minorities (AIAM), a new non-governmental organization, was launched at the Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Maryland. This initiative aims to support minority communities within the Indian American diaspora in the United States.
During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Global Peace Award for Minority Upliftment. The award was presented by Washington Adventist University and AIAM, recognizing his efforts towards inclusive development and minority welfare.
Jasdip Singh, a renowned Sikh philanthropist, was appointed as the Founder and Chairman of AIAM. He is supported by a seven-member Board of Directors representing diverse Indian minority communities, including Sikhs, Christians, Hindus, Muslims, and Indian Jews.
AIAM Chairman Jasdip Singh emphasized the organization's role in advancing PM Modi's vision of a "Viksit Bharat" by 2047. He highlighted India's inclusive approach under PM Modi's leadership, ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens.
Satnam Singh Sandhu, a Member of Parliament and convener of the Indian Minorities Federation, praised PM Modi's "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" approach, which promotes communal harmony and equal opportunity. Members of the Indian minority diaspora commended PM Modi for upholding India's commitment to secularism and fostering global recognition.
