Smriti Irani Launches Indian People's Forum Women Council in Dubai
Former Union Minister Smriti Irani has launched the Indian People's Forum (IPF) Women Council at the India Club in Dubai. This initiative aims to amplify the voices of Indian women in the UAE. Irani also participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Government Executive Council. The event, titled 'India-UAE Synergies: Exploring Strategic Market Opportunities in India', focused on economic collaboration between India and the UAE. It brought together business leaders and investors to discuss India's socio-economic transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi emphasized the strong partnership between the UAE and India, built on mutual trust and shared ambitions. The roundtable explored opportunities in technology, renewable energy, and education. Ashwin Fernandes, who moderated the event, presented Rashid with his book, MODIALOGUE, which explores Modi's governance and vision.
Key Indian-origin UAE business leaders attended the event, including Sajith Ansar, Ruchi Dana, Sanjay Parashar, Paras Shahdadpuri, Dr Moideen Thumbay, Shamsheer Vayalil, and Nilesh Ved.
