Union Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh Meets Algerian Ambassador
Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, recently met with the Ambassador of Algeria, Ali Achoui, in New Delhi. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between India and Algeria. Singh expressed his gratitude to Achoui for his support and contributions to the bilateral relationship.
In a social media post, Singh stated, "Delighted to meet Ambassador of Algeria to India H.E. Mr. Ali Achoui. India-Algeria relations have been historically friendly and cordial. Discussed efforts to further strengthen this partnership and thanked Ambassador for his lasting contribution."
President Droupadi Murmu's Visit to Algeria
Earlier, on October 16, President Droupadi Murmu visited Algeria, where she explored the ancient Roman city of Tipasa, the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania, and Hamma Garden. These sites offered her insights into Algeria's rich cultural heritage. She was accompanied by Algeria's Minister of Culture, Soraya Mouloudji, and Tipaza Governor, Aboubakr Boucetta.
During her visit, President Murmu was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Political Science by the Sidi Abdellah Science and Technology Pole University, Algiers III. She expressed her gratitude, emphasizing the honor as a recognition for her country.
