UKPNP Protests Against Pakistan's Kashmir Policies in London
The United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP) held a protest outside the Pakistan High Commission in London. UKPNP's Stand
Sardar Nasir Aziz Khan, a spokesperson for UKPNP, addressed the protestors. He stated that Pakistan has unlawfully occupied parts of Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) since October 22, 1947, causing violence and division. Khan criticized Pakistan's claim of supporting Kashmir, calling it a hoax. He argued that true solidarity would mean respecting the rights and self-determination of the Kashmiri people, which Pakistan has opposed.
Accusations Against Pakistan
Khan accused Chaudhary Anwar-ul-Haq, the so-called Prime Minister of PoJK, of inciting unrest by shouting 'Al-Jihadi' slogans. He highlighted the lack of basic commodities and rights for PoJK residents. Khan also claimed that Pakistan is gathering terrorist organizations in Rawalakot, showing its lack of interest in peace.
Call for Accountability
The UKPNP called for the international community to hold Pakistan accountable for its actions in Kashmir. They emphasized the need for nonviolent conflict resolution and demanded freedom of movement, self-governance, and self-determination for Kashmiris.
