Police Attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a police officer named Head Constable Wazir Zada was killed in a terrorist attack. The attack occurred near the Ahmedzai Sub-division Wazir police station. The officer was taken to the District Headquarter Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Earlier, another police officer was killed, and a polio worker was injured in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The officer was protecting a team conducting an anti-polio drive when unknown attackers struck. Additional police forces were sent to the scene after the attackers fled.

Explosive Accidents Involving Children

On December 2, a tragic incident in Bannu resulted in the deaths of three children when a mortar shell exploded. The children, who were seminary students, were playing with the shell in the Sintanga Jani Khel area.

Another similar incident occurred on November 30 in Lower Kurram Tehsil, where three children died, and five were injured after a live mortar shell exploded. The children, all under 11 years old, were playing when they found the shell and began throwing stones at it, causing it to explode.

Mortar Shell Tragedy in North Waziristan

In September, a mortar shell hit a home in North Waziristan, killing a woman and her four children. The incident took place in the Garyom area, affecting the family of Noor Gul. The explosion claimed the lives of Noor Gul's wife and children, Resham, Janshada, Mujahid, and Noor Kalam.
