Sapigen Biologix will focus on producing key vaccines, including the world's second oral cholera vaccine, Hillchol, and the first licensed malaria vaccine, RTS, S. The facility will also produce the Oral Polio Vaccine and plans to manufacture vaccines for Chikungunya and Zika in the future.
The plant is expected to create over 2,000 direct and 1,500 indirect jobs, nurturing local talent in Odisha. It aims to position Odisha and India as a global vaccine production hub, fostering regional economic growth and providing sustainable healthcare solutions worldwide.
