Rohit Pawar Suggests BEST Bus for Team India’s Victory Parade in Mumbai

Rohit Pawar, a leader from the Nationalist Congress Party, suggested that the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Bus should be used for Team India’s victory parade in Mumbai. He emphasized the emotional connection that locals have with the BEST Bus.

The parade will celebrate India’s T20 World Cup win. The victorious cricketers, including Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dubey, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, will meet Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at the Assembly. This event is organized by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), which has announced free public entry for the victory parade at Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium.

Earlier, the T20 World Cup-winning Indian team received a warm welcome in Delhi. During their meeting with the Prime Minister, the players wore special jerseys with two stars representing their T20 World Cup wins. India ended a 13-year ICC World Cup trophy drought by defeating South Africa in the final. Key performances included Virat Kohli’s 76 runs, Hardik Pandya’s 3/20, and Jasprit Bumrah’s 2/18. Bumrah was named ‘Player of the Tournament’ for his 15 wickets at an economy rate of 4.17.
