Donald Trump Supports Elon Musk's Views on Immigrants and H-1B Visas

In Washington DC, US President-elect Donald Trump has shown his support for entrepreneur Elon Musk's recent statements about the contributions of immigrants to the United States. Musk emphasized the importance of hard-working individuals from all backgrounds who have helped build the nation. He urged Americans to maintain the country's identity as a land of freedom and opportunity. Musk stated, "Anyone of any race, creed or nationality - who came to America and worked like hell to contribute to this country will forever have my respect. America is the land of freedom and opportunity. Fight with every fiber of your being to keep it that way!"

Trump expressed his support by reposting Musk's message on his social media platform, Truth Social. Two days earlier, Trump had also voiced his support for the H-1B visa program, which he has frequently used for his properties. He called it a "great program" and stated, "I've always liked the visas, I have always been in favour of the visas. That's why we have them."

During Trump's first term, his administration had imposed restrictions on H-1B visas due to concerns over "abuse" and "economic strain." However, Trump's recent remarks came after a divide within his MAGA team, as Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who support expanding the visa program for highly skilled workers, faced backlash from Trump's base. Both Musk and Ramaswamy, leaders of Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, have reignited the debate on H-1B visas, highlighting differing views on immigration policy as Trump prepares to take office.
