The students are demanding a re-examination of the 70th BPSC prelims held on December 13, 2024. Gandhi criticized the BJP, comparing their actions to the mythological story of Ekalavya, accusing them of harming the future of India's youth.
Gandhi highlighted issues in government recruitment, stating that announcements are delayed, exams are not timely, and papers are often leaked. He mentioned that when students demand justice, their voices are suppressed. He also noted the arrest of two students protesting against irregularities in the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission exams, despite assurances from the Chief Minister.
Gandhi assured the students of his support, stating, "We are with the students in their fight for their rights. We will not let the BJP suppress the voice of the rights of the youth of the country at any cost."
Meanwhile, supporters of Purnea MP Pappu Yadav, who organized a 'rail roko' protest at Sachiwalay Halt Railway Station in support of the students, were dispersed by the police.
