The inquiry raised concerns about national security threats from Chinese drones, especially those from DJI, near sensitive US military sites. The committee highlighted the risks these drones pose to US security and privacy.
In response, the Commerce Department is considering actions under its authority over information and communications technology and services. Committee leaders John Moolenaar and Raja Krishnamoorthi expressed strong support for the potential restrictions, citing the risks to national security and privacy.
