Protests in Balochistan Over Enforced Disappearances

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), a human rights organization, has raised concerns over the enforced disappearance of a woman from Khuzdar and two men from Kharan in Balochistan, Pakistan. The BYC claims that these actions are part of an ongoing Baloch genocide, marked by threats, harassment, and extrajudicial killings.

Incidents of Disappearance

According to BYC, state-sponsored groups raided a home in Khuzdar at 2 am, forcibly taking a woman, which they say violates Baloch cultural values. In response, families blocked the main RCD road, demanding her return and accountability for the perpetrators. Similarly, two brothers, Mubarak and Hafiz Ali Baloch, were abducted in Kharan, prompting a sit-in protest in the Kharan red zone.

BYC's Stance

BYC condemned these actions, labeling them as inhumane and cowardly. They expressed solidarity with the protesting families and urged the Baloch community to unite in seeking justice. The organization also called on the global community and human rights groups to speak out against these atrocities.

International Concerns

Human rights organizations have accused Pakistani forces of using such tactics to instill fear among locals. They demand an end to forced disappearances and accountability from the authorities.
