In Koppal, Karnataka, a fight broke out during a Ganesha procession in the Gundamma locality, leading to three people being injured. The police have arrested three individuals in connection with the incident. According to Koppal Superintendent of Police Ram Arasiddi, the fight was due to personal enmity between two groups. One of the injured was identified as Shivakumar, a resident of Gundamma locality.

A local named Manjunath filed a complaint, resulting in an atrocity case. The police confirmed that the area is now peaceful and further investigation is underway. In a similar incident on September 18 in Belagavi, Karnataka, three people were stabbed following a scuffle during a Ganesha procession. Belagavi Commissioner Iada Martin Marbaniang stated that the incident was due to personal enmity and ruled out any communal angle.
