Pakistan Security Forces Eliminate TTP Terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations
In a series of operations, Pakistan's security forces have successfully targeted members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as Khwarij, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation in the Kaulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan resulted in the elimination of four TTP terrorists.
Earlier, in North Waziristan, a similar operation led to a gunfight where six TTP terrorists were killed. Unfortunately, the operation also resulted in the loss of Major Hamza Israr, 29, and Sepoy Muhammad Naeem, 26. The ISPR emphasized the commitment of the security forces to eradicate terrorism, highlighting the sacrifices made by the soldiers.
On January 24, security forces thwarted an infiltration attempt by six terrorists from the Pakistan-Afghanistan border into Balochistan's Zhob district. The ISPR reported the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives during this operation. Pakistan continues to urge the interim Afghan government to manage its borders effectively to prevent terrorist activities.
