On January 14, Margherita will meet with the Philippine leadership and pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the Centre for Peace Education in Manila. He will also connect with the Indian community in the Philippines. This visit marks the 75th anniversary of India-Philippines bilateral relations.
Engagement in Palau
Invited by the Government of Palau, Margherita will attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Surangel Whipps Jr. on January 16. He will discuss development projects with Palau's leadership, marking Whipps Jr.'s second term as president.
Historic Visit to Micronesia
On January 18, Margherita will make the first-ever ministerial-level visit from India to the Federated States of Micronesia, meeting with its leadership. This visit follows the 3rd Summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
