Paank Condemns Enforced Disappearances in Balochistan

Among the missing is Mehmood, son of Mehfooz, who was abducted from his home in Essai, Panjgur. Hafiz Ali Mir, a student from Kharan district, was taken by Pakistani forces in Quetta. In Gwadar, Abdullah Baloch, son of Muhammad Ali, was forcibly disappeared from Kulanch. Several disappearances were reported in Kech district's Bhaman, Turbat, including Numan, son of Rafiq, a student, and Roshan, son of Ali Muhammad, along with his brother Rahil Ali, both shopkeepers. Naeem Bashir, a second-year student at Atta Shad Degree College, also went missing. In Turbat City, Adam Ghulam, a laborer, was detained under unknown circumstances.
Human Rights Concerns
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), a human rights organization, condemned the "cold-blooded murder" of Baloch scholar Allah Dad Baloch by government-supported death squads. BYC stated that targeted killings and enforced disappearances are becoming more frequent in Balochistan. Allah Dad Wahid Baloch, a postgraduate and MPhil scholar from Singani Sar, Turbat, was described as an intellectually gifted individual whose murder marks another brutal chapter in the Baloch genocide.
