Abu Dhabi Hosts 11th SWAAC ELSO Conference on AI and ECMO Innovations
The 11th Annual SWAAC ELSO Conference is taking place in Abu Dhabi, attracting over 1,000 international experts in extracorporeal life support (ECLS). Held at the Conrad Hotel, the 3-day event focuses on ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) applications for heart and lung failure due to trauma, burns, or cancer. Key topics include anticoagulation in ECMO patients and patient rehabilitation. A special track on ECMO use in children is also featured.
Attendees can explore over 60 research posters and presentations, with five outstanding papers selected for awards by the Research Committee, chaired by Dr. Umar Khan from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The conference showcases the latest industry innovations and is supported by the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi, and other local institutions.
