On October 2, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi honored Mahatma Gandhi on his 155th birth anniversary by laying flowers at an event in Bhubaneswar. The event was attended by Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, State Legislative Assembly speaker Surama Padhy, and other state ministers.

Chief Minister Majhi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts in promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability through the Swachhata Abhiyan campaign. He shared his thoughts on X, highlighting the success of the Swachh Bharat Mission in creating a cleaner and healthier India.

On the campaign’s 10th anniversary, PM Modi also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and participated in a cleanliness drive with school children. He encouraged all citizens to join the cleanliness initiative to strengthen the spirit of ‘Swachh Bharat’.
