Nitant Singh Nitin Celebrates INDIA Alliance’s Big Win in By-Polls

Nitant Singh Nitin, a youth leader from Uttar Pradesh Congress, celebrated the INDIA Alliance’s victory in 11 out of 13 legislative assembly seats by putting up a poster at the UP Congress state headquarters. The poster highlighted the win of Congress candidate Lakhapat Singh Butola in Badrinath, Uttarakhand.

The by-polls were held in seven states, including Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. The results were a setback for the BJP, which won only two seats. The INDIA bloc secured 10 seats, and an independent candidate won one seat in Bihar.

In Uttarakhand, Lakhapat Singh Butola defeated Rajendra Singh Bhandari by 5224 votes in Badrinath, and Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin won in Manglaur by 422 votes. In Himachal Pradesh, Congress won two out of three seats, with Kamlesh Thakur and Hardeep Singh Bawa securing victories. In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won in Jalandhar West. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK won in Vikravandi. In West Bengal, the All India Trinamool Congress won all four seats. In Bihar, neither the JDU nor the RJD managed to secure a victory.
