Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Launches ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign in Ujjain
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav planted a sapling as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign at Kapila Gaushala in Ujjain. After planting the sapling, he visited the Gaushala, performed a puja for a cow, and fed calves.
Speaking to reporters, CM Yadav said, “It is our responsibility to save sick and specially-abled cows that keep roaming on roads for which the state government has made arrangements. We will improve the management in Gaushalas by connecting the society and saints. We are connecting more people to this initiative.”
He added, “I am satisfied that we are making Gaushala operating in all the major cities of the state through municipal corporation. Our government is also going to start a bonus on milk production so that people rear cows at their homes.”
Earlier in the day, CM Yadav launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in Bhopal, planting trees with public representatives. He mentioned that the Madhya Pradesh government aims to plant 5.5 crore trees across the state, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for the campaign.
