KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur Reappears After Speech, Pledges Support to Imran Khan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who was unreachable for several hours after his speech at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally on September 8 in Islamabad, reappeared at a Peshawar Bar Council Association event. He expressed his unwavering support for PTI founder Imran Khan and urged for unity to address the nation’s issues.

Gandapur had been missing due to a breach of the recently passed public gathering law. PTI member Shahid Khattak confirmed that Gandapur was busy in meetings in the federal capital. The opposition party stated that Gandapur had a lengthy meeting with government representatives to discuss law and order in the province, and cell phone jammers made him unreachable.

At the Bar Council event, Gandapur urged organizations to change their ways for the benefit of the populace and the nation. He emphasized the need to resolve issues with the incarcerated PTI founder and stated, “Lifting the nation, not the ego, should be our goal.”

Gandapur highlighted the lack of trust between the police and citizens due to recent terror attacks, lamenting, “My province is bleeding and they do not care.” He announced that a provincial government delegation would visit Afghanistan to hold talks and resolve concerns. He reiterated his accountability to the people of KP who supported PTI.
