Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will visit India on January 25-26, following an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This visit marks his first trip to India as President since he took office in October 2024. President Subianto will be the chief guest at India's 76th Republic Day celebrations.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties

This visit is significant as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Indonesia. Prime Minister Modi and President Subianto previously met at the G20 Summit in Rio, where they reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties.
President Subianto, who was Indonesia's former Defence Minister, took office as the eighth President in October last year, with Gibran Rakabuming as Vice President. During his swearing-in, India was represented by Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita.
