Indian Nationals Deported from US Return Safely to Gujarat
Recently, several Indian nationals who allegedly migrated illegally to the United States were deported back to India. They arrived at Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat, bringing relief to their families. One family member expressed happiness, saying, "I am just happy that my daughter has reached home safely."
In a related event, a US military C-17 Globemaster aircraft landed in Amritsar, Punjab, carrying 104 deported Indian nationals. Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the deportation issue with US President Donald Trump, emphasizing the need for a solution.
Dhaliwal stated, "Modiji calls Trump his friend. I request PM Modi ji to speak to Trump to find a solution to this issue." He confirmed that all 104 individuals, including around 30 from Punjab, are in good health.
A US Embassy spokesperson highlighted the strict enforcement of US border and immigration laws, sending a "clear message that illegal migration is not worth the risk."
