New Delhi, India is hosting the 13th Plenary Meeting of the United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management (UNGGIM) for the Asia-Pacific region. Surveyor General of India, Hitesh Kumar S. Makwana, announced that experts from 30 countries, including 91 delegates, will attend. Over 120 Indian experts will also participate, discussing various geospatial topics.
The four-day conference, themed "Geo-enabling the Data Economy for Sustainable Development," will explore the role of geospatial data in the digital economy. It includes sessions on "Cadastral & Land Management," "Integration of Geospatial & Statistical Information," and workshops on "Sustainable Operation of the GNSS-CORS Network" and "IGIF Implementation."
