India and Bangladesh Leaders Sign Important Agreements in New Delhi
New Delhi, June 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina met at Hyderabad House in Delhi to sign several important agreements. These agreements aim to improve cooperation between the two countries in many areas.
Key Agreements Signed
During the ceremony, the following agreements were signed:
- Digital Partnership: Foreign Secretaries Masood Bin Momen and Vinay Kwatra exchanged documents to enhance digital collaboration.
- Green Partnership: Focused on environmental initiatives and sustainable development.
- Maritime Cooperation and Blue Economy: Strengthening maritime security and exploring blue economy opportunities.
- Health and Medicine: Renewed collaboration in healthcare.
- Space Technology: Cooperation in space technology and satellite communication, signed by Shahjahan Mehmood and S Somnath.
- Railway Connectivity: Enhancing railway connectivity, signed by Mohamed Humayun Kabir and Jaya Sinha.
- Oceanography: Promoting joint research in ocean sciences, signed by Mohammed Mustafizur Rahman and Pranay Verma.
- Disaster Management: Strengthening disaster management strategies.
- Fisheries: Continuing joint efforts in sustainable fisheries management.
- Military Education: Promoting military education and strategic studies cooperation.
These agreements were signed after PM Modi and PM Hasina held delegation-level talks. PM Sheikh Hasina is on a two-day State visit to India, marking the first foreign guest on a bilateral State visit to India after the formation of the Modi 3.0 government.
