On the fifth day of the 2nd Hockey India Sub Junior Men & Women North Zone Championship 2024, held at Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, several teams showcased their skills.
Women’s Category
Hockey Himachal faced Hockey Chandigarh and won 3-0. The goals were scored by Riya (5′), Sonam (28′), and Shikha Saini (54′).
Hockey Punjab played against Hockey Uttarakhand and secured a 1-0 victory with Rajpreet Kaur (50′) scoring the goal.
In the final match of the day, Hockey Haryana defeated Uttar Pradesh Hockey 2-1. Nancy Saroha (8′) and Diya (22′) scored for Hockey Haryana, while Vaishali Sen (60′) scored for Uttar Pradesh Hockey.
Men’s Category
Hockey Haryana triumphed over Hockey Chandigarh with a 4-0 win. Sachin (31′, 34′, 52′) and Sahil (37′) were the goalscorers.
In a match played on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Hockey dominated Hockey Jammu and Kashmir with an 18-0 victory.
