Grand Deepotsav Celebration at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir

In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, a grand celebration is underway for the first ‘Deepotsav’ after the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Mandir. Uttar Pradesh Minister Jaiveer Singh announced that every effort has been made to enhance the grandeur and divinity of the event. This year, the festival aims to set new records, including lighting 28 lakh diyas, surpassing previous achievements.

Special Guests and Events

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat are among the notable attendees. Artists from various countries will participate, and a special aarti with 1,100 diyas at Sarayug Ghat will be performed by 1,100 Vedacharyas, aiming for a Guinness World Record.

World Record Attempts

The Uttar Pradesh government is attempting to set a Guinness World Record by lighting over 25 lakh diyas. Additionally, the largest aarti will be performed by over 1,100 people at Saryu Ghat. A 30-member team from the Guinness Book of World Records is present to oversee the preparations.

Shobha Yatra and Cultural Significance

The Shobha Yatra will feature artists from six countries and 16 Indian states, with 18 tableaus. The festival, which commemorates Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya, highlights the city’s cultural and spiritual importance, drawing millions of devotees and tourists.

Over 30,000 volunteers are assisting with the event, spread across 55 ghats in Ayodhya. The ‘Ek Diya Ram ke naam’ initiative, launched through the Divya Ayodhya app, is also being promoted. Ayodhya has experienced significant growth in tourism and development, with local businesses thriving during the festivities.
