Goa CM Pramod Sawant Launches New Book and Fish Kiosks

On August 21, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant launched the book Govyatil Dharmantar: Katha Ani Vyatha written by Ranga Hariji and translated by Sunetra Jog. The event took place in Panaji and was attended by Sanghchalak Rajendra Bhobe, Ramesh Pai, author Shefali Vaidya, and others. The CM congratulated Bharatiya Vichar Sadhana Pune and Rashtriya Swadharma Sanskar Mandal for the book, stating it would shed light on the oppressive rule of colonizers. He reiterated the Goa Government’s commitment to supporting this cause.

Earlier, CM Sawant attended the Narali Pournima celebrations and launched the Matsya Vahini Matsya Ahar Fish Kiosks under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. The event, organized by the Department of Fisheries, was attended by Fisheries Minister Nilkanth Halarnkar, Fisheries Secretary E Vallavan, and others. The Chief Minister announced the distribution of 10 environment-friendly e-rickshaws to improve fish transportation and the sanctioning of 25 unique retail fish outlets, aiming to create employment opportunities for Goan youth.
