New Delhi, India – October 10: Gautam Adani, the founder and chairman of the Adani Group, expressed his condolences on the passing of Ratan Tata, a renowned industrialist and Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons. Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday evening at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

In a heartfelt message on social media platform X, Gautam Adani described Ratan Tata as a “giant” and a “visionary” who redefined the path of modern India. Adani highlighted Tata’s integrity, compassion, and commitment to the greater good, stating, “Legends like him never fade away. Om Shanti.”

Ratan Tata’s Legacy

Ratan Tata was born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai. He was the Chairman of Tata Sons from 1991 until his retirement in 2012, after which he became Chairman Emeritus. Under his leadership, the Tata Group reached new heights and made significant contributions to various sectors, including philanthropy. He was also the Chairman of Ratan Tata Trust and Dorabji Tata Trust, two of India’s largest philanthropic trusts. In 2008, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honor.
