They discussed economic security, supply chain resilience, and partnerships in critical and emerging technologies.
In the FS-Vice Ministerial Dialogue, Misri and Okano reviewed the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership. They covered political relations, defense and security, economic cooperation, and people-to-people ties, along with regional and international issues of common interest.
Misri also met with Takehiko Matsuo, Vice-Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, to discuss economic and high technology cooperation. He met Keiichi Ichikawa, Deputy Secretary General of the National Security Secretariat, to discuss security and economic partnerships. Additionally, Misri met Yoshimichi Terada, Vice-Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, to review cooperation on the MAHSR project.
