Fire Incident in Prayagraj During Maha Kumbh

In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a fire broke out in two vehicles, prompting a swift response from fire services. At least seven fire tenders were deployed to control the blaze. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and everyone was reported safe.

Details of the Incident

Fire Officer Vishal Yadav reported that the fire was caused by extreme heat emissions from the vehicles. A caller named Anurag Yadav alerted the control room about the incident. The fire affected an Ertiga car, which was completely burnt, and a Venue car from Jharkhand, which was partially burnt. The incident occurred around 7:00 AM.

Earlier in the week, a significant fire occurred at the Gita Press camp during the Maha Kumbh celebrations, burning 70 to 80 huts and eight to ten tents. Additional District Magistrate Vivek Chaturvedi provided these details.

Fire Safety Advisory

Following these incidents, the Uttar Pradesh government issued a fire safety advisory for the Mahakumbh Mela. The advisory instructs people to inform authorities immediately in case of a fire and to remain calm while using fire-fighting equipment safely.
