In Kamareddy district of Telangana, police have arrested six people involved in a fake currency racket. The arrests took place in the Koyya Gutta area under the Banswada Town police station limits. The individuals arrested are Kadapatri Rajagopal Rao, Hussain Peera, Kolavar Kiran Kumar, Kesrole Ramdas Goud, Radhakrishna, and Ajay Eashwar Lokhande.
During a routine vehicle check at Koyya Gutta, police intercepted a car and found three individuals: Kadapatri Rajagopal Rao, Kolavar Kiran Kumar, and Kesrole Ramdas Goud. Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered counterfeit currency worth 30 lakh rupees.
The investigation revealed that the arrested individuals were part of a larger gang involved in printing and distributing fake currency across India. The gang, consisting of eight members from states like Telangana, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Maharashtra, printed counterfeit currency in Hyderabad.
Police seized counterfeit currency worth 56 lakh 90 thousand rupees, along with computers, printers, paper cutters, and other equipment used in the operation. Six individuals have been taken into custody, while two more, Kamlesh and Sukhram, remain at large.
