Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Approves Raju Poojary’s Candidature and Criticizes BJP in Haryana Rally

New Delhi [India], October 2: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved Raju Poojary’s candidature for the upcoming bye-election to the Karnataka Legislative Council from Dakshina Kannada Local Authorities’ Constituency.

In an official statement, it was announced, “The Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the candidature of Shri Raju Poojary as party candidate for the ensuing bye-election to the Karnataka Legislative Council from Dakshina Kannada Local Authorities’ Constituency.”

Meanwhile, during a public rally in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri, Kharge launched a strong criticism against the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He accused them of ignoring the needs of soldiers and farmers and prioritizing the RSS agenda over the welfare of citizens.

Kharge stated, “I want to say that all our (Congress) Prime Ministers have always worked for the country… Shastriji sent such a message by saying ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan.’ This is a Congress idea… The BJP doesn’t understand farmers; they only know the RSS agenda. There are no farmers in the RSS or BJP, so they don’t feel the farmers’ pain and continue instilling fear in them. The BJP does not care about soldiers and farmers. That’s why they don’t understand the struggles of farmers… They only help Ambani-Adani, not the farmers.”

He also commented on the recent change in Haryana’s Chief Minister, saying, “Manohar Lal Khattar, who was Chief Minister for 9 years, was replaced by Nayab Singh Saini because both engines of the ‘double-engine government’ failed… They had to change the CM because they did not fulfil their promises. People still remember the development work done by the Hooda government. We do what we say, but they never fulfil their promises.”

Kharge addressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments during an election rally, stating, “We are demanding a caste census to bring in welfare measures. This does not mean that we are not patriotic. They have always worked against the country and the constitution… Patriotic people are only there in Congress. These were the people who bowed down in front of the British for their lives.”
