In a startling revelation, it has been reported that China is imposing its legal system on American soil through a network of nonprofit organizations linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). These organizations, spread across California, Washington, DC, Hawaii, and New York, are allegedly sharing information with Chinese law enforcement and have even set up unofficial courtrooms in the US.
US lawmakers and intelligence analysts are concerned that these underground courts could be used to target dissidents and expand Beijing's influence abroad. This contradicts China's claim that its overseas law enforcement officers handle only routine matters like international divorces and driver's license renewals.
The investigation revealed that some nonprofit leaders have discussed forced repatriation operations with China's Ministry of Public Security. All these organizations are run by individuals affiliated with the United Front Work Department, a CCP intelligence agency. Some individuals involved are linked to a nonprofit that operated an illegal Chinese police station in New York, which the US Department of Justice found had coerced individuals to return to China.
Michigan Republican Rep. John Moolenaar expressed concern over these activities, calling them an "unacceptable assault on US sovereignty and the rule of law." He emphasized the need for Congress and law enforcement to remain vigilant and hold those involved accountable.
